Odds To Win 2010 Super Bowl

The Patriots (+400) are favored to win the Super Bowl this season and they are stacked, but even though Tom Brady is back and healthy he has to stay that way for the Pats to win the big one. Matt Cassel is now with the Kansas City Chiefs, so if Brady goes down again the Pats will be in trouble. They signed RB Fred Taylor and WR's Wes Welker and Randy Moss are still one of the best wideout tandems in the NFL. The Patriots defense will be improved this season with the addition of signing 2 solid CB's and New England used 3 of their 4 draft picks in the 2nd round on defensive players.

The defending champion Steelers (+800) do not have to play the toughest schedule like they did last season and the return 20 of 22 starters. Their draft was solid and 1st round pick DE/DT Evander Hood may improve upon an already formidable defense.

The Giants (+800) recently made Eli Manning the highest paid player in the NFL, but who will his #1 WR be. Plaxico Burress is gone and 1st round pick Hakeem Nicks may need to fill that hole right away. The Giants D ranked 5th last season and they signed free agents OLB Michael Boley and DT Chris Canty and they will get DE Osi Umenyiora back from a major knee injury. They are stacked, but they also have to play in the NFC East, which is the toughest division in the NFL.

Can the Chargers (+800) bounce back from a .500 season? Sure, the Chargers made the playoffs last season, but they were killed by injuries. LeDainian Tomlinson and TE Antonio Gates missed time with injuries and LB Shawn Merriman was out for the year. If the Chargers are healthy and their D improves they should have no problem winning the weak AFC West.

The Eagles (+1000) gave Donovan McNabb a new contract and the Eagles are hoping he can repeat on last year's solid season. He will have a couple new offensive weapons in 1st round pick WR Jeremy Maclin and 2nd round pick RB LeSean McCoy. The major concerns for the Eagles are if RB Brian Westbrook can return from off-season ankle surgery and if they can replace defensive leader CB Brian Dawkins.

The Colts (+1000) offense will be solid again and their running game should be improved with drafting pass-catching RB Donald Brown in the 1st round, but can their defense stop the run?

The Cowboys (+1200) are solid on both sides of the ball, but Tony Romo has to win in December and in the playoffs and not just in the regular season. At least T.O. will no be a headache for them any longer.

The Bears (+1200) have high expectations with new QB Jay Cutler, but can they improve on their defense, which ranked 21st last season?
