Odds To Win The Pac 10 Championship

While the USC Trojans are, yet again, the favorites to win the Pac 10 this season there are a few other teams that may win the conference.

Here are the teams with the best odds to win the Pac 10 this season.

USC Trojans -375
USC is the major favorite to win the Pac 10 this season, but there is a big question mark at the QB position. It looks as if Aaron Corp will be the QB at the start of the season, but he is an unproven freshman. The offensive line returns 5 starters and they have a few stellar RB's that may share the workload this season. The Trojans D lost a few players up front to the NFL, but there are some great prospects that will take their place even though that is another concern. The secondary is solid led by S Taylor Mays. Their 2nd game of the season at Ohio State has HUGE National Title implications.

California Golden Bears +500
The Golden Bears have early season Heisman hopeful RB Jahvid Best, but for their offense to click returning QB Kevin Riley has to be more consistent. The offensive line is massive, as they average 312 pounds. Their Golden Bears secondary is one of the best in the nation, but the front line has a couple new juco transfers that have to replace LB Zack Follett. They host USC and Oregon State, but they away game against Oregon in their 4th game of the season will be a tough one.

Oregon Ducks +500
The Ducks may have one of the best rushing offenses in the nation with QB Jeremiah Masoli and RB LeGarrette Blount. While the Ducks will score a lot of points this season, will their D be able to keep other teams from lighting up the scoreboard? Last season the Ducks' defense allowed 5 teams to crack the 30-point barrier. They have a favorable Pac 10 schedule, as they host USC and California.

Oregon State Beavers +1000
Oregon State features one of the best RB's in the nation in Jacquizz Rodgers and while the Beavers will have a legit offense the defense is a major concern. They lost 8 starters on defense and their conference schedule is a killer one playing at California, USC, and Oregon.

UCLA Bruins +1000
The Bruins have a solid defense, but how far the Bruins go may rest on how new QB Kevin Prince plays. The Bruins have got inconsistent play at the QB position for the past few years and that needs to change this year or they will finish in the middle of the Pac 10 again.
