The Notre Dame ground game led by RB Josh Adams (1191 Yards, 8.7 YPC, 9 TDS) and further enhanced by QB Brandon Wimbush (639 yards, 6.3 YPC, 13 TDS) has been formidable and it doesn't appear that Miami will be able to stop it. The Hurricanes have allowed three teams to rack up greater than 200 yards rushing and four teams to 4.0 or greater YPC. Miami will also represent a challenge for ND who has struggled against teams that is strong in the run and pass game, something the ‘Canes have proven this season. That leads me to the total for this game. There are some numbers that support a play on the UNDER, but I prefer the OVER here. Key stats – The Irish offense has ranked No. 1 or No. 2 against their opponent’s defense in four of their last five games and the Hurricanes offense has Ranked No. 1 or No. 2 in three of their last four. Both defenses can come up with a big game, but yardage statistics are middle of the road vs. opponents in many games. The offenses win on Saturday.
