NFL Week 2 Point Spreads

Some interesting results in Week 1 of the NFL season with many of the public betting favorites covering the point spread. Reading between the lines though some of the results didn't truely reflect the action on the field. Here's a quick look at some of the games who's final scores were a bit misleading.

The Ravens did cover the -13 spread against the Chiefs on Sunday, winning by 14 points in their 38-24 home win. However, Baltimore was in a dogfight for most of the game scoring 14 points in the final 2:05 to get the cover.

The Falcons were odds on favorite at -4 for their home tilt versus the Dolphins. The 19-7 final covered the betting line by more than a touchdown, but Atlanta benefited from four Miami Dolphins turnovers that resulted in 9 points.

Bettors jumped on the Green Bay Packers bandwagon with all of the Preseason hype pushing the wagering line up to 4.5 points by game time. The Packers did pull out the pointspread win with their 21-15 victory, but the Packers were outyarded 352 - 226 in the game and benefited from Jay Cutler's 4 picks.
