LSU Tigers (7-4) vs. Texas A&M Aggies (7-4)
Hard to believe heading into the last game of the regular season that LSU and Texas A&M are not ranked. Each team is coming off a loss and after narrowly losing to Alabama in OT LSU was embarrassed in their last game losing 17-0 to an unranked Arkansas team.
Neither team will be in the BCS discussion this season, but the winner can really improve the bowl they play in.
The main match up in this SEC game is the Aggies and their 10th ranked passing offense facing LSU and their 5th ranked defense.
In their last games LSU lost to Arkansas 17-0 and Texas A&M lost to Missouri 34-27.
LSU is 7-4 ATS and they have an Over/Under record of 4-7 and Texas A&M is 4-7 ATS and they have an Over/Under record of 5-6.
This season Texas A&M is 4-2 at home and LSU is 1-2 on the road.
In their 2 seasons in the SEC Texas A&M has not beaten LSU.
LSU is all about the run, as they rank 35th in the nation in rushing yards per game and only 112th in passing yards per game, They need to get over the Arkansas game where their offense really struggled only gaining 123 total yards (87 passing 36 rushing). True freshman Leonard Fournette leads the Tigers in rushing and he is a big back and the Aggies have had issues playing against players like that. In the Missouri game the Aggies gave up 335 rushing yards.
LSU has not had good QB play this season, but they do have a solid WR in Travin Dural, who is averaging over 21 yards per catch on the season.
Kyle Allen has taken over for the injured Ken Hill at QB and the freshman has been solid in the last 3 games with 8 TD even though he was picked off in all 3. Josh Reynolds is his main target and even in the loss to Missouri he had 125 receiving yards with 2 TD.
With the inexperienced Allen under center the Aggies may want to try to run the ball more, but that is not their strength on the offensive side of the football. Still, Tra Carson and Trey Williams each have over 400 rushing yards on the season.
Even in the loss to Arkansas the LSU defense played great holding the Razorbacks to 169 passing yards and 95 rushing yards.
LSU is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games, 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games following a S.U. loss, and they have an Under record of 4-0 in their last 4 games.
Texas A&M is 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games overall, 0-5 ATS in their last 5 home games, and they have an Under record of 5-1 in their last 6 home games.
LSU is 3-0-1 ATS in their last 4 games facing Texas A&M.

The Aggies are playing much better as of late winning two out of their last 3. The defense continues to be a weakness, but LSU on paper doesn't have the offense to fully exploit this.'
