In a huge SEC game this Saturday afternoon the Georgia Bulldogs host the LSU Tigers. Both teams are 2-0 in SEC play and the winner of this game has the inside track to get to the SEC Championship game. Last week the Tigers squeaked by Mississippi State 30-26 while the Bulldogs beat a solid Arizona State team 20-17.

The Bulldogs are led by QB Joe Cox (980 yds 9 TD 5 INT) and his main targets are A.J. Green (25 rec 428 yds 4 TD) and Orson Charles (7 rec 146 yds 1 TD). The Bulldogs rushing attack is led by Richard Samuel (281 yds 2 TD). The Tigers are led by QB Jordan Jefferson (708 yds 7 TD 1 INT) and his main targets are Terrance Toliver (17 rec 266 yds 2 TD) and Brandon LaFell (20 rec 230 yds 5 TD). The Tigers rushing attack is led by the duo of Keiland Williams (184 yds 2 TD) and Charles Scott (179 yds).

The next 2 weeks are make or break for the Tigers, as after this tough away game against Georgia they host top-ranked Florida next week. After losing their first game of the season the Bulldogs have won 3 straight and their offense has been solid averaging 33 points per game. Both teams need to win this game, as each still has to play Florida.

The Tigers seemed to have finally found a QB that can give them some offense, as Jordan Jefferson has been solid and he has 2 WR's (Brandon LaFell and Terrance Toliver) that are averaging over 11 yards per catch. The key to this game will be which defense can stop the opponents' offense. LSU did win last week against Mississippi State, but their D did not look great giving up 26 points. Their run defense will have to play much better than they did last week, as against MSU they gave up 151 yards on the ground. They have to contain Bulldogs RB Richard Samuel and not let him have a big game. If Samuel can move the chains on the ground it will allow the Bulldogs to control the clock and it gives them a great chance to win this game.

The Bulldogs are playing well in their 3 game winning streak and the Tigers were lucky to escape with a victory last week after stopping MSU on 3 plays from the LSU 1-yard line late in the 4th quarter. If LSU plays like they did last week they will definitely lose this game. The Tigers have to win this game to stay in the SEC West race, as both Alabama and Auburn are also have not lost in division play.
