In their last games the Broncos beat the Indianapolis Colts 31-24 and the Chiefs lost to the Tennessee Titans 26-10.
This season the Broncos are 1-0 at home the Chiefs are 0-0 on the road.
The 26-10 loss by the Chiefs to the Titans is not a true reflection on how poorly the Chiefs played in Week 1. Kansas City was dominated by Tennessee who won the first down battle by 9, passed for 65 more yards, rushed for 95 more yards and won the turnover battle by 3.
The Broncos raced out to an early 24-0 lead and held on to win 31-24 over the rallying Colts who won the passing yardage and total yardage battles.
Last season Denver won both meetings with a 7 point road margin and a 10 point home margin.

The Chiefs showed as the season went along that their defense is not a strong point and may be considered average at best. This season we knew that they'd have some offensive line issues for at least the first few weeks with the player changes along the line. We're trying to not overreact here after one game, but Kansas City does not look good on eother side of the ball right now. So lay the points on the Broncos in Week 2? We think the opposite here. Now we may be reaching, but we think that the Chiefs are the play here. The Colts had issues along their offensive line and managed to light up the Denver secondary for 354 passing yards and logically the Chiefs should improve their line play with more experience. The Broncos have the Seahawks on deck and may be less than fully focused against KC this week. While we certainly don't expect them to sit Manning down early, we do think if they had a 3 score lead he may see the bench giving our play more strength with the backdoor like the Colts did a possibility here.
