The 1-3 Jacksonville Jaguars head into Tampa Bay on Sunday to take on the 1-3 Buccaneers in this week 5 NFL game on the grass of Raymond James Stadium. Kick-off is scheduled for 1:00PM ET.
Spread: Buccaneers -3
Jacksonville was an unfortunate 16-13 OT loser to Indianapolis on Sunday. They allowed a 53-yd drive in OT to set up the winning FG. The defense had one of their best games in a long while, allowing only 60 yards on the ground (on 24 carries) and garnering 3 sacks. QB Blake Bortles was 28-50 for 298 yards and a TD. WR Allen Hurns was his main target (11-116-1). RB T.J. Yeldon ran for 105 yards and the team ran for 142. Expect them to try and establish the run early against the weak run D of Tampa Bay.
Tampa Bay got behind early and was really never in a 37-23 loss to Carolina last week. QB Jameis Winston threw for 287 yards and 2 TDs but also had 4 interceptions, 1 of which was returned for a TD. The Bucs also had a lost fumble returned for a score. WR Vincent Jackson had 10 catches for 147 yards and a TD. The defense allowed only 111 passing yards but 133 on the ground. They will be tested by the dual attack of the Jags and must take better care of the ball.
Tampa Bay: 11.53
Jacksonville is 1-1 in games they have run for over 100 yards and they should be 2-0 if not for their placekicker last week. Rushing is what they should be able to do against a Buccaneer team that has allowed 136.8 yards per game.
