The Seahawks beat the Packers at home in the season opener by 20 points and they are 8.5-point favorites to win this NFC title game in their house. The Seattle defense ranks 1st in the league against the pass and 3rd against the run, but the Packers may have a little hope, as in the Seahawks last game they gave up the most points, ok only 17, which is the most in their 7-game winning streak.
Aaron Rodgers has an injured calf and was less than stellar in the first half of Green Bay's last win, but great in the 2nd half. While he is not 100% he is the key to the Packers' offense. Still, he was really held in check, big time, in the season opener and it is no surprise Green Bay is the big road underdog.
In their last games the Packers beat the Dallas Cowboys 26-21 and the Seahawks beta the Carolina Panthers 31-17.
The Packers are 9-7-1 ATS and they have an Over/Under record of 11-6 and the Seahawks are 10-6-1 ATS and they have an Over/Under record of 9-8.
This season the Seahawks are 8-1 at home and the Packers are 4-4 on the road.
In winning their last 7 games of the season the Seahawks have only given up an average of 8 points per game.
Rodgers was great in the 2nd half of the win over the Cowboys and was 7/7 in the 4th quarter and overall passed for 316 yards with 3 TD and 0 INT. Not only does the Seahawks' pass D have to deal with the great WR duo of Randall Cobb and Jordy Nelson, but in the Cowboys game rookie WR Davante Adams was the leading receiver with 117 yards including a 46-yard TD catch.
In the win over the Panthers Seattle had 2 INT and their pass rush had 2 sacks. Getting to Rodgers will be key and he is hobbled with a calf injury, which will make him less mobile.
The Seahawks did give up 132 rushing yards to the Panthers and this Sunday will face Eddie Lacy, who rushed for 101 yards averaging 5.3 yards per carry in the Cowboys win.
In the season opening loss to the Seahawks Rodgers was 23/33 for only 189 yards with a TD and 1 INT and Lacy only had 34 rushing yard averaging less than 3 yards per carry.
Russell Wilson has been playing great in the Seahawks winning streak and in the Carolina game he was more than clutch going 8/8 for 199 yards with all 3 passing TD's coming on 3rd down. He has an unheralded, but good WR corps and the 10th ranked pass defense of Green Bay held Tony Romo to less than 200 yards, but did allow 2 passing TD.
One main worry for the Packers has to be their run defense, which only ranks 23rd in the league and gave up 145 rushing yards to the Cowboys. Seattle has the top ranked rushing offense with Wilson and Marshawn Lynch, but they did not have a great game running the ball against the Panthers.
Green Bay: 12-4 SU 9-6-1 ATS
Seattle: 12-4 SU 9-6-1 ATS
The Packers are 7-2-1 ATS vs. a team with a winning record, 6-1-1 ATS in their last 8 games following a ATS loss, and they have an Under record of 5-2 in their last 7 games.
The Seahawks are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 playoff home games, 19-6-1 ATS vs. a team with a winning record, and they have an Under record of 5-2 in their last 7 games.
The home team is 4-1-2 ATS in the last 7 games between these 2 teams.

The word is that Packers' QB Aaron Rodgers' calf is getting better each day and if that continues Green bay will be able to put up some points against the Seahawks' defense. The Packers front 7 is not in the same class as the Panthers' so look for Seattle to have a big day on the ground.
