Philadelphia Eagles at New York Giants Odds
Opening Line: Eagles +1 / Giants -1 O/U 45

In a, dare I say vital, game this Sunday night in the Big Apple the New York Giants host the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles are tied with the Dallas Cowboys, who host the red-hot Chargers on Sunday, in the NFC East while the Giants are in 2nd place trailing both teams by only 1 game. The division is still up in the air and there is only one constant, which is the Redskins suck. If the Giants lose this game it will be very hard for them to win the division and it may also be hard to snag a Wild Card berth. The Eagles can stay in 1st place with a win and they can also really increase their chances of, at least, a Wild Card if they can beat the Giants. Even though the Giants won a huge game last week against Dallas they have lost 5 of their last 7 games, but won 2 of their last 3, and their defense has struggled big time.
This season the Giants are 4-2 at home and 5-6-1 ATS and the Eagles are 4-2 on the road and are 7-5 ATS.

Last week the Giants beat the Dallas Cowboys 31-24 and the Eagles crushed the Atlanta Falcons 34-7.
The Eagles are led by QB Donovan McNabb (2,427 yds 16 TD 6 INT) and his main targets are WR's DeSean Jackson (44 rec 769 yds 6 TD) and rookie Jeremy Maclin (46 rec 623 yds 4 TD). The Eagles rushing attack is led by LeSean McCoy (530 yds 3 TD) and RB Michael Westbrook is still out since suffering another concussion a couple weeks ago. The Giants are led by QB Eli Manning (2,925 yds 20 TD 11 INT) and his main targets are Steve Smith (78 rec 979 yds 5 TD) and Mario Manningham (46 rec 675 yds 4 TD). The Giants' rushing attack is led by the duo of Brandon Jacobs (722 yds 4 TD) and Ahmad Bradshaw (596 yds 4 TD), who has injured ankles, but is active for this big game.
The Eagles have the 10th ranked offense and they looked great last week in scoring 34 points in the win over Atlanta. McNabb may have a big game since the Giants' secondary is really struggling. McCoy only has 49 rushing yards in his last 3 games and he will get most of the carries in this game since Westbrook is doubtful for the game. He has to pick up some yards so the Giants do not only focus on defending the pass. The Giants' defense still ranks 7th in the league, but in their last 7 games they have given up an average of just over 30 points per game.
The Giants' offense ranks 7th in the league and after only scoring 6 points 2 weeks back in a loss to Denver they got back on track in last week's win over the Cowboys. They have to play a well-balanced game like they did last week when they passed for 237 yards and rushed for 100 yards. The Eagles' defense, which ranks 8th in the league, has to play well against the pass and the run in this game. They can't allow Manning time in the pocket and have Bradshaw and Jacobs pick up big yards on the ground.
In the last meeting between these 2 teams in Philly the Eagles killed the Giants 40-17.
The Eagles are 5-2 in their last 7 games and the total has gone Over in 9 of their last 13 games. The Giants are only 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games and are 2-4-1 in their last 7 games at home.
