Big East foes tangle in the sunshine state this Sunday night. South Florida started the season 5-0 and reached the no. 10 ranking in college football. Since that time, the Bulls have only won 1 game in their last 5 contest. The Bulls have dropped 3 in a row over the past few weeks and are hoping they can rebound when Connecticut comes to town. The Huskies come in off a 39-14 win over Syracuse with ambitions to win their last 2 games and reach a 10 win season for the first time in their Division 1-A history.

Brown has been sensational and has not reached 100 yards rushing in one game this season against West Virginia where the tailback had 82 yards. The Connecticut offense has a top 20 ranked rush offense in the country averaging 209 yards per game on the ground. South Florida will base their entire defense around Donald Brown because they must maintain him if they plan to end their 3 game losing streak.

South Florida does have the 5th ranked rush defense in America holding opposing teams to only 87 yards per game on the ground. This rush defense will face their biggest test this weekend from the Huskies. Connecticut only real way of moving the ball comes from their rushing attack and will be very interesting to see if the Bulls can stop them. South Florida ranks 18th in college football in total defense holding offenses to 295 yards per game. The Bulls need the defense to play big this weekend especially against Huskies tailback Donald Brown.

Nearly 80% of the betting public is siding with Connecticut ATS believing that the Bulls trouble in recent weeks will continue. The over/under total for the ball game is listed at 48.5. South Florida QB Matt Grothe has been the leader for the Bulls this season. Grothe has completed 64% of his passes for 2362 yards with 15 touchdowns. The UConn pass defense has played very well this season. They have only allowed 175 yards per game placing them in the top 15 of pass defenses in the country. The Huskies also ranked in the top 20 in almost every defensive category proving how strong a defense they truly have. The Huskies have only given up 18 points per game this season along with 294 yards of total offense. The Huskies defense will look to take control of the game and perhaps force some turnovers in effort to defeat the Bulls.
