No. 1 Alabama (PR No.1)
No.1 Alabama (12-0) at No.2 Florida -9.5 (11-1) - Last week the Gators beat Florida State 45-15 and the Crimson Tide beat Auburn 36-0. This is THE game, as the winner of this SEC Championship game will play in the National Title game. The Gators are on an 8 game winning streak and in that time they have averaged over 50 points a game. The Tide have the nation's 3rd ranked defense and they will have their hands full trying to contain Tim Tebow and the powerful Gators offense. AND the game is in the Swamp, which is never an easy place for opponents to play.
No. 2 Florida (PR No.2)
No.1 Alabama (12-0) at No.2 Florida -9.5 (11-1) - Last week the Gators beat Florida State 45-15 and the Crimson Tide beat Auburn 36-0. The Tide and their 3rd ranked D can end the season undefeated if they win this SEC Championship game. The Gators offense has looked awesome in their past few games and they will be tough to stop at home.
No. 3 Texas (PR No.4) - Texas has the week off after beating Texas A&M 49-9 last week. Texas is ranked ahead of Oklahoma in the AP poll, but it is the Sooners who have the higher BCS ranking and will play in the Big 12 Title game. Since the Longhorns are not playing in the Big 12 Title game they will probably not play for the National Title.
No. 4 Oklahoma (PR No. 3)
No.4 Oklahoma -17 (11-1) vs. No.19 Missouri (9-3) - Last week the Sooners beat Oklahoma State 61-41 while the Tigers lost to Kansas 40-37. The huge win over OSU last week allowed the Sooners to move ahead of Texas to play for the Big 12 Title game. This game will be all offense baby, as the Sooners have the nation's top ranked scoring team and 3rd ranked passing offense while the Tigers rank 4th in passing offense. If the Sooners can run the ball they will win this game.
No. 5 USC (PR No.5)
No.5 USC -33 (10-1) at UCLA (4-7) - Last week the Trojans beat Notre Dame 38-3 while the Bruins were crushed by Arizona State 34-9. The battle for LA has lost its luster in the past few years, as the Bruins have not been strong. The Trojans offense has been on fire and they have the best defense in the nation. Since Oregon State lost last week the Trojans will play in the Rose Bow, but the National Title is a long shot.
No. 6 Penn State (PR No.6) - Last week Penn State had the week off and they have another week off, but they will play USC in the Rose Bowl.
No. 7 Utah (PR No.8) - Utah has the week off and they will wait what BCS Bowl invitation they get, as the at large non-BCS bowl team. Even though the Utes are undefeated and they will play in a BCS Bowl game the chances of them winning the national Title are very slim.
No. 8 Texas Tech (PR No.7) - The Red Raiders have the week off after beating Baylor 35-28 last week. The Red Raiders only have 1 loss, but they will probably not get a BCS Bowl bid.
No. 9 Boise State (PR No.9) - Boise State has the week off after crushing Fresno State 61-10 last week. Even though the Broncos put up 61 points last week they did not move ahead of Utah in the BCS rankings, which means they will not be getting a BCS Bowl invitation. Tough to swallow for a Broncos team that went undefeated this season.
No. 10 Ohio State (PR No.10) - The Buckeyes have another week off and await their Bowl situation. The Buckeyes have a good shot at a BCS Bowl game invitation, but they will not be playing for the National Title for the 3rd straight year.
No. 11 TCU (PR No.14) - The Horned Frogs have the week off and await their Bowl invitation.
No. 12 Ball State (PR No.15)
No. 12 Ball State -15 (12-0) vs. Buffalo (7-5) - Last week Ball State beat Western Michigan 45-22 while Buffalo lost to Kent State 24-21. Ball State will not get a BCS Bowl invitation, but they can improve their situation with a strong showing in the MAC Championship game. Buffalo only has the nation's 93rd ranked defense.
No. 13 Cincinnati (PR. No.16)
No.13 Cincinnati -8 (10-2) at Hawaii (7-5) - Last week the Bearcats beat Syracuse 30-10 while the Rainbows beat Washington State 24-10. As winners of the Big East the Bearcats will play in their first ever BCS Bowl game. The Rainbows can improve their Bowl positioning if they pull the upset in this game. The Rainbows come into this game winning 3 in a row.
No. 14 Oklahoma State (PR No.11) - The Cowboys have the week off after losing to Oklahoma last week 61-41, which squashed their hopes of playing in a BCS Bowl game.
No. 15 Georgia Tech (No.18) - The Yellow Jackets have this week off. Last week the Yellow Jackets beat Georgia 45-42, but they will not play in a BCS Bowl game, since they will not play for the ACC Championship.
No. 16 Oregon (No.19) - The Ducks have the week off after their big win last week over Oregon State 65-38.
No. 17 Georgia (PR No.13) - The Bulldogs have the week off after losing last week to Georgia Tech 45-42. How far the might have fallen, as the pre-season #1 will not be playing in a BCS Bowl game.
No. 18 Boston College (PR No.20)
No.18 Boston College -1 (9-3) vs. Virginia Tech (8-4) - Last week the Golden Eagles beat Maryland 28-21 while the Hokies beat Virginia 17-14. This ACC Championship game is huge, as the winner will play in a BCS Bowl game. This game should be a low scoring affair since both teams' defenses rank in the top 10. Both offenses are pretty even, but the Golden Eagles are averaging almost 6 more points per game.
No. 19 Missouri (No. 12)
No.4 Oklahoma -17 (11-1) vs. No.19 Missouri (9-3) - Last week the Sooners beat Oklahoma State 61-41 while the Tigers lost to Kansas 40-37. The Sooners will play in the BCS Title game if they can win this Big 12 Championship game. The Tigers and their weak defense will have trouble containing the powerful offense of the Sooners led by Heisman hopeful QB Sam Bradford.
No. 20 Brigham Young (PR. No.20) - The Cougars have the week off and await their Bowl invitation. They will probably play in the San Diego County Credit Union Bowl.
No. 21 Michigan State (PR No.22) - The Spartans have the week off and await their Bowl invitation. They will probably play in the Capital One Bowl.
No. 22 Mississippi (PR No.25) - The Rebels have the week off after beating Mississippi State 45-0 last week. The Rebels will be happy if they play in the Cotton Bowl, which may be the biggest non-BCS Bowl game.
No. 23 Pittsburgh (PR NR)
No.23 Pittsburgh -2.5 (8-3) at Connecticut (7-4) - Last week the Panthers beat West Virginia 19-15 while the Huskies had the week off. Both teams can improve their Bowl positioning with a victory. The Huskies have the nation's 10th ranked defense and their rushing offense is ranked 20th in the nation. Pitt has a better passing offense, as they rank 51st in the nation while the Huskies only rank 107th.
No. 24 Northwestern (PR No.24) - The Wildcats have the week off and await their Bowl invitation. They may play in the Alamo Bowl.
No. 25 Oregon State (PR No.17) - The Beavers have the week off after their defense let them down in a 65-38 loss to in state rival Oregon. The Beavers will play in a decent Bowl, but they will not play in the Rose Bowl for the first time in over 50 years. At least they beat USC this year.
