The Kansas City Chiefs come into this game after beating the Minnesota Vikings for their first win of the season. The San Diego Chargers were defeated by the Green Bay Packers 31-24. This is a big early season AFC West match up, as neither team wants to start the season at 1-3.

QB Damon Huard, who played decent last week passed for 206 yards and 1 TD leads the Chiefs. The Chiefs rushed for only 50 yards and averaged 1.6 yards per rush. The Chiefs defense gave up 123 yards rushing to the Vikings (4.2 yards per rush) and only 129 yards passing. The Chargers are led by QB Phillip Rivers who played well last week with 306 yards, 3 TD's and 1 INT. The Chargers, and reigning NFL MVP LeDanian Tomlinson, rushed for only 73 yards last week for an average of 2.6 yards per rush. The Chargers defense gave up only 42 yards rushing (3.2 yards per rush) but gave up 363 yards passing.

This is a game that has two of the better Running Backs in the NFL, LeDanian Tomlinson and Larry Johnson, who have yet to get on track this season. The Chiefs grinded out a victory last week and carry some momentum going into this game. This will be a closer game than people think, as the Chargers are not playing well on both sides of the ball. The Chiefs will not come away with a victory, as San Diego is too strong but we suggest taking the Chiefs, as they will not lose by more than 10 points.
