ODDS TO WIN THE 2009 HEISMAN TROPHY

QB Tim Tebow +200 (Florida)
Tebow, who won the Heisman in 2007, is the front-runner for the Heisman this season, but should he be? One of the reasons he put up sick numbers the last couple years is WR Percy Harvin, who is now in the NFL. The Gators need a playmaker to step up to give Tebow a legit target. No matter what Tebow should gain yards and score TD's with his arm and legs and since the Gators are also favored to win the BCS title that will help, as Tebow will be in the spotlight all season.

QB Sam Bradford +225 (Oklahoma)
Bradford won the Heisman last season and it may be tougher for him this season since the Sooners lost 3 of their best WR's and there are many new faces on the offensive line. Another thing Bradford has working against him is that the Sooners have a great rushing attack and they may rely on that more this season.

QB Colt McCoy +300 (Texas)
Colt McCoy has a great chance to win the coveted award, as the pass happy Longhorns will ensure that McCoy will put up big numbers. It also helps that he has a legit playmaker in WR Jordan Shipley. If he puts up solid numbers all season and in the big game against Oklahoma he may take home the Heisman.

QB Terrelle Pryor +800 (Ohio State)
Pryor will be the main focus of the Ohio State offense and he may have to pick up more yards with his legs this season since both WR's Brian Robiskie and Brian Hartline are now in the NFL. He is a human highlight film, but he has to come through in the big games, hello USC game 2, when it counts.

RB Best +1000 (California)
California's star RB is the leading returning rusher in the NCAA this season. Last season Best ran for 1,580 yards and 15 touchdowns, but in the big game against USC he was held to only 30 yards and only 25 yards to Maryland. Best has the skills, but has to show them in the big nationally televised games.

RB Evan Royster +1200 (Penn State)
Royster will have a chance to pick up a lot of yards for the Nittany Lions this season since they may rely more on the running game this year. Penn State lost their top 3 WR's and Royster may be the main focus on offense. He must put up some solid numbers in the 2 big home games this season against Iowa and Ohio State.

RB Jonathan Dwyer +1200 (Georgia Tech)
In the 2nd half of last season Dwyer turned into one of the best RB's in the nation, as in his last 4 games during the regular season he rushed for 574 yards and 7 TD's. All of those teams he lit up went to bowls last season. He is the reigning ACC player of the year and he averaged 7 yards per carry last season.

RB Jevan Snead +1500 (Mississippi)
Snead did not have awesome numbers last season and he had 13 INT's, but he guided Ole Miss to wins over Florida, LSU, and Texas Tech. His numbers may not be as great as the other passing QB's gunning for the Heisman, but Ole Miss plays quite a few televised games this season and if he shines in those he has an outside shot.

QB Daryll Clark +2000 (Penn State)
Clark has all the tools of a great QB, but the Penn State passing game may suffer this season since they lost their 3 most productive receivers. It is hard to imagine Clark putting up good passing numbers with their inexperienced WR's and on the ground since RB Evan Royster will get a lot of carries.

RB CJ Spiller +2000 (Clemson)
Spiller is a long shot, but he may have a big season since he is THE man in the Clemson Backfield. However, he is coming off an injury-plagued season and Clemson has a suspect offensive line.

QB Todd Reesing +2000 (Kansas)
Reesing may put up huge numbers this season, but will Kansas get enough press coverage for people to notice? He has to have huge games against Oklahoma and Texas this season to have any chance to win the Heisman.

RB Kendall Hunter +2000 (Oklahoma State)
Hunter led the Big 12 in rushing last season (119.6 yards per game), ran for 1,555 yards, averaged 6.5 yards per carry, and scored 16 TD's. Much like Reesing, Hunter has to put up huge numbers against Oklahoma and Texas to get any Heisman consideration.
