While the Big 12 may not be as strong as it was last year it is still one of the best conferences in the country. Oklahoma and Texas may battle it out for the conference title, but there are a few other teams that can win the Big 12 conference championship.

Here are the teams in the Big 12 that have the best odds to win the conference.

Oklahoma Sooners +160
Last season's Heisman winning QB Sam Bradford returns, but they have to replace several starters on offense, especially on the offensive line. Still, the Sooners are loaded, as they have 6 players that may have their name called on the first day in next year's draft. The Sooners' D may be their strength this season, as they return many starters. They play a tough schedule this season, as they hit the road to play Miami, Nebraska, Texas Tech, and Kansas. The Red River Shootout game against Texas may make or break the Sooners chance of winning the Big 12.

Texas Longhorns +165
The Longhorns still may have a chip on their shoulder after Oklahoma went to the BCS Title game even though Texas beat them. QB Colt McCoy and WR Jordan Shipley are one of the best tandems in the nation and the offensive line returns 4 starters. . The main concern for the Longhorns is that they lost their whole defensive line, but with the offense Texas has and how they can light up the scoreboard it may not matter. Playing Oklahoma and OSU away are huge games for Texas this season.

Nebraska Cornhuskers +300
The Huskers will have one of the better defenses in the Big 12 this season, as their whole defensive front line returns. Zac Lee takes over for Joe Ganz at QB and he has tons of talent with a rocket arm and his mobility. With the offenses that are in the Big 12 getting to the QB is vital and that is a concern for the Huskers, who don't have the best LB corps. The winner of the Nebraska versus Kansas game in Kansas may determine the winner of the Big 12 North.

Kansas Jayhawks +325
The Jayhawks will feature one of the best offenses in the conference led by QB Todd Reesing. They have 2 of the best WR's in the Big 12 in Kerry Meier and Dezmon Briscoe. While the offense will have no problems scoring the defense may have trouble keeping other teams from scoring. The secondary needs to improve big time, as last year they ranked 114th out of only 119 teams in pass defense. They host Nebraska in game that may determine which team represents the Big 12 North in the title game.

Oklahoma State Cowboys +800
The Cowboys are ranked #11 in the pre-season polls, but the reason their odds to win the conference are not better is because they play in the Big 12 South and they have to host Texas and play at Oklahoma this season. The offense is led by last year's Big 12 leading rusher Kendall Hunter, All-American WR Dez Bryant, and underrated QB Zac Robinson. The Cowboys averaged over 40 points per game last season and they may be better this season. Their D is a concern, but they now have defensive coordinator Bill Young from Miami.
